Lindsay Locker Memorial Cheer Foundation was created in December 2023 after a tragic car accident took the life of Eastern Hancock High School student and cheerleader. Lindsay was passionate in everything she did: cheer, 4-H, working with youth, FFA, her family, modeling, and so much more. One discussion that came up after a youth recognition and cheer clinic night at a football game. With so many more youth participating in only the cheer clinic versus the program, the question was asked, ‘why?’ Several parents shared that cost was a barrier to them being able to allow their children to participate.
That was the spark for Lindsay’s Cheer Foundation. Lindsay loved helping young cheer athletes and teaching them. Our foundation aims to eliminate these financial barriers or at least aid in creating a more affordable opportunity. Our foundation provides scholarships to cheer participants of all ages throughout Hancock County. We also provide continuing education scholarships to graduating seniors who participated in cheer throughout high school. We look to be able to provide overall general support to schools’ cheer programs to reduce costs for all.
We are a fully recognized 501c3 non-profit organization along with a non-profit in the state of Indiana.
